IMPORTANT INFORMATION & REGISTRATION
DATES TO REMEMBER
To ensure your child will attend camp, you must meet these deadlines:
- April 1 – Deadline for any refunds
- May 20 – Total payment is due in FULL
- May 20 – Deadline for submitting Immunization Record
New 2012 Health Regulations
- Upon registering your child, OUR HEALTH FORM, must be fully completed and sent back with your application.
- Any child with an allergy MUST have an allergy action plan submitted and signed by their pediatrician prior to their first day of camp.
- A copy of the participant’s most recent physical examination and immunization record is required. If not rec’d a confirmation will not be sent until this form is received.
- We will accept an immunization form that has been completed within the last two years – though the most recent one is required once it is completed.
- We must have OUR allergy action plan filled out and signed by their physician prior to their first day of camp. This is a NEW requirement which will be strictly enforced. Physician offices get inundated with documentation requests in the summer months, so plan ahead! :)
OPEN HOUSE DATES
Saturday March 17th 2012 -- from 1:00- 3:00 at 1620 house
Jon Kirby the camp Director will host an open house on the 17th of March. This will be your opportunity to tour the grounds, see a power point presentation of previous summers, and ask your most important questions you have about Pilgrim Day Camp. Bring the kids! Snacks and drinks will be provided. No need to sign up prior, just come between the hours of 1-3!!
Saturday June 23th, 2012 -- 1:00- 3:00 @ the pavilion
This is a great opportunity for the children and parents to meet the staff and have a personal tour of the grounds. You will be able to visit your camp site, meet your counselors, visit the pool, and see where you drop off and pick up your children. Tee shirts are available at this time.
LUNCH AND SNACKS
Full-day and Afternoon campers should bring lunch every day. Lunches are not refrigerated. Campers are encouraged by the staff to drink water. Milk is provided with lunch. Morning campers go home for lunch. A popsicle is available every afternoon for campers. A morning snack is offered to campers age 6 and under. Although water is available throughout the day, we recommend that your child bring a water bottle.
TRANSPORTATION
Van transportation to and from camp is available in the Framingham and Natick area only for campers who are enrolled in the full-day program. This option is not available to those enrolled in the half day program. Campers are picked up and dropped off at their homes. Enrollment is arranged on a round-trip basis only for two-week sessions. Arrangements must be made by April 1 to assure a place on the van.
TOWELS
The camp provides towels for children under 5 years old. Older children should bring their own towels.
COMPLIANCE, POLICIES, AND PROCEDURES
The camp complies with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and is licensed by the local board of health. Parents may submit written requests for Pilgrim Day Camp’s policy regarding staff background checks, health care and discipline policies, procedures for filing grievances, as well as other policies and procedures.
REGISTRATION
ENROLLMENTS ARE TAKEN ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS
Applications are dated in the order they are received by this office. Applications that are hand delivered will be placed with the following day’s mail. Enrollment is based on a 5 day per week enrollment basis, one can not pick and choose the days you would like to come.
Camper placement is at the judgment of the director and registrar.
Registration and Deposit
Each application per child, must include a deposit of 100 dollars per session, per child. With a 25 dollar registration fee per child.
Example: 4 sessions = $400 deposit + $25 registration fee per child. The deposit is deductible from the tuition.
Due to the heavy volume of applications, please allow two weeks for the processing of applications and response acknowledgment from camp. Please check your email for your invoice, and welcome letter. Please state if you would rather have this information mailed to you.
REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT
After applications are processed, parents will receive a confirmation in the form of an invoice this will be emailed to you, unless you state otherwise.This is the only bill you will receive unless there are extenuating circumstances. Payment in full is due by May 20th to confirm enrollment. Please refer to the top of this page for more details. There is a $20 fee for checks returned by the bank.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
NEW:You will receive a health form along with your application. Please pass both in when you register.If your child has any allergies, or requires any medication at camp, you must fill out the entire health packet, including a signature from your doctor. These extra precautions are placed to make sure your child will receive the utmost care here at Pilgrim. Thank you in advance for your patience and consideration
POLICY ON CANCELLATIONS OR REVISIONS
A written notice of withdrawal must be given before the April 1 deadline. $50.00 per session will be withheld for each cancelled session after the April 1st deadline. The registration fee is non-refundable.
